Calm Vigilance

When the air is toxic with deceit, adjustments must be made. You can accept it, or you can attempt to change the things in your life that contribute to persistent distrust. If you choose the latter you must speak your truth and hope for an unpredictable outcome. If you accept that 'that's just the way it is' then your own personal work is highly indicated. 

Living in that toxic air erodes your psyche, your well-being. It's possible to recognize that you are willing to pay the price of keeping the toxicity in your world if the reward for such is greater than the erosion. This, I suppose, is why blackmail can be effective. Sad, that. Whatever the case may be, it is important to be as mindful as possible when coexisting with chronic dishonesty.

In any case, whether it's personal, political, work-related, or whatever else, being mindful means adopting a Calm Vigilance. Not unlike many of our co-critters in Nature (think biomimicry). A Calm Vigilance means being aware of the environment in which you live and noticing that which 'pushes your buttons'. And leads you to ineffective and potentially destructive 'next actions' that are so not in service to what is best for you. Like not noticing whatever trigger may emerge, and chip away at your peace of mind. 

Calm Vigilance is Nature-based, and deeply in service to you managing yourself in the face of whatever adversity may present.
